The result of a 2007-2009 FEDER project, Karubiotec™ had its name registered with the French National Institute of Intellectual Property in July 2017.

Karubiotec™ is a Biological Resource Centre (BRC) dedicated to human health, equipped with its technical platform for the management of biological samples for research purposes.

The activities of Karubiotec™ include :

  • the collection of biological samples for research purposes

  • the re-qualification for research of biological samples collected in healthcare settings

  • The transformation of these samples into biological banks;

  • Providing biological resources for research and development projects;

  • Providing expertise in molecular biology analysis techniques;

  • Providing know-how for research projects,

  • Training staff in quality management according to ISO 20 387 and ISO 9001 standards.

  • Hosting and supervision of UA students since 2014 (L3, M2, medical students, etc.).
