Karubiotec™ has special enclosures for temporary storage, but also for long-term storage of biological samples. Karubiotec™ also stores tissue blocks at the site's ambient temperature, which is controlled to an average of 25°C.

This facility is centrally monitored by temperature monitoring software.

In general, RIPHs require storage for 3 to 5 years at the BRC. At the end of the study, the remaining biological samples can be integrated into one of the Karubiotec™ biocollections designated in the patient's information and consent note. They can therefore be used in the context of research programs declared by the CRB to the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
