Biological material acquisition
As a part of the research projects
Karubiotec™ is a leader in the management of human biological samples for research purposes.
These samples are collected as part of research in human subjects (RIPH) projects or programmes,
cohort monitoring or clinical trials carried out in Guadeloupe.
These samples must also meet the acceptance criteria defined in the BRC procedures.
The conditions of acquisition are defined between the various players and Karubiotec™.
These biological samples can be used to identify risk factors for diseases prevalent in our department.
As part of the care
Karubiotec™ is authorised to carry out the requalification of biological samples collected as part of healthcare for use in research.
This is a process that allows the residual biological samples collected as part of healthcare to be incorporated into research programmes or research and development projects (e.g. development of more sensitive and specific tests for certain pathogens or development of faster diagnostic tests for certain pathologies).
